About me

Danny Moerkerke

Hi there, I'm Danny Moerkerke, freelance JavaScript and TypeScript developer specializing in Web Components and Progressive Web Apps.

I regularly write about the modern web on my blog, Twitter and Medium and occasionally speak at meetups.

I care about performance and accessibility and strive to build great web apps using modern browser features and as less JavaScript as possible.

If you need help with this you can hire me

I am also the creater of What PWA Can Do Today, a showcase of demos of what is possible with PWAs today.

What PWA Can Do Today is a PWA itself so you can install it on your device and see what it supports for yourself.

Current work

I'm currently working with the team of ING Bank in Amsterdam on the lion open-source library and the internal Unified Design System based on native Web Components.

In the past I have been involved in pioneering Web Components at ING Bank using the Polymer framework.

You can find my open-source projects on Github

Media

I occasionally speak at meetups about various subjects including Web Components and Progressive Web Apps (PWA).

Below are several YouTube videos of my talk on PWAs at Delft Developers and Designers, State of PWAs where I was a panelist, my guest appearance on Davy Engone's Hackflix podcast and Hacklunch webinar where I live-coded a Web Component.
